Five Pillars of Islam

Shahada (Faith)

• Declaration: “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His messenger.”
• This is the entry point—say it, believe it, live by it.
Reference :Surah Al-Imran (3:18):
“Allah bears witness that there is no deity except Him, and so do the angels and those of knowledge – [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”
Salah (Prayer)

• Five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha.
• Non-negotiable—done at specific times, facing
Reference :Surah Al-Baqarah (2:43):
“And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].”
Zakat (Almsgiving)

• 2.5% of your qualifying wealth goes to the poor.
• It’s not charity—it’s a mandatory redistribution.
Reference :Surah At-Tawbah (9:103):
“Take, [O Muhammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase…”
Hajj (Pilgrimage to Mecca)

• Once in a lifetime, if you’re physically and financially able.
• A massive, humbling experience—spiritual reset
Reference :Surah Al-Imran (3:97):
”…And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House – for whoever is able to find thereto a way…”
Sawm (Fasting during Ramadan)

• No food, drink, sex, or nonsense from dawn to sunset.
• It’s about discipline and empathy, not just skipping lunch.
